When you are reinstalling the swinging arm, it needs to be
centralised. This normally entails slackening or tightening each pivot
bolt in turn and takes ages to get it right.
My way is to get your feeler gauges blades out to a thickness of 4.45
mm. and insert them in the position as in photo 1 making sure both
ends of the blades are resting against the circular part of the frame.
Lightly tighten the opposite side pivot bolt so the swinging arm comes
up against the blades. Now tighten the pivot bolt on the same side as
the blades.
Check both sides for measurement as in photos 1 & 2. There should be
no more 1.6 mm difference in the gaps. Now tighten the pivot bolts to
5Nm. The locknuts should be then tightened to 100 Nm making sure the
pivot bolt doesn't turn at the same time.
